I have always appreciated Bob Kauflin's views on worship. Sadly, I think the American evangelicals have missed the point on this. Modern and growing churches trend toward entertaining our congregants in a guilt-free "christian sort of way" instead of exalting the One who deserves our praise.
Amen! This reminds me of a church sign I saw a while back that said, "Come experience worship with us". These words seem benign at first, but after a few seconds it struck me that any emphasis of worship for experience sake is simply idolatry.
